日本語能力試験に挑戦するアダムは 少し心配そうです。 何かニックからいいアドバイスでもあるのでしょうか。


Nick:
Hey Adam. Boning up for the Japanese test?
アダム。 日本語テストに向けて 詰め込み勉強してるのかい？
Adam:
I'm trying, but I just can't get into it.
しようとしてるんだけど、なかなか集中できないんだよ。
Nick:
What level are you gunning for?
どのレベルをねらってるの？
Adam:
I've got my sights on the third level.
3級を目指してるんだけど。
Nick:
You'll waltz it in!
そんなの楽勝だよ。
Adam:
Stop busting my chops!
からかわないで。
Nick:
Take it from me, it'll be a cinch for you. When I took it, the listening was a cakewalk.
まあ僕の言葉を信じて。 君には簡単だよ。 僕が受けた時は、リスニングは簡単だったよ。
Adam:
I'm not sweating the listening. It's the umpteen different readings for the 300 kanji I have to cram for!
リスニングは心配してないんだけど。 詰め込み勉強しなきゃだめな３００の漢字のたくさんの違う読み方が問題なんだよ
Nick:
It's all swings and roundabouts. What you might miss in the kanji you'll make up for in the reading and listening.
まあ一長一短だね。 漢字で間違っても、読みとリスニングで埋め合わせができるよ。
Adam:
I wish I had your confidence.
それだけ自信があったらいんだけどね。
